"Ancient City" at the soon-to-be demolished Hayes Valley Market Gallery, 580 Hayes St. (@ Laguna), presents works on the theme of Urban Transformation. Curator and photographer, Daniel Newman has invited 15 artists to explore this subject in diverse media from hanging mobile, to concrete and recycled materials sculpture to encaustic lightbox painting and time-lapse photography.
